Luke Vibert
Luke Vibert is a British electronic musician and producer whose work has appeared under a long line of aliases, most prominently Plug and Wagon Christ. Born on 26 January 1973 and raised in Cornwall, he began releasing music in the 1990s, moving between techno, drum and bass, and trip hop rather than settling into a single approach.
Vibert’s catalog spans acid house, acid techno, breakbeat, drill and bass, electronica and IDM, with different names often framing different sides of his production. Alongside Plug and Wagon Christ, he has used aliases including Amen Andrews, Kerrier District, The Ace Of Clubs, Butler Kiev, Spac Hand Luke, Visible Crater Funk and Luke Warm.
His releases have connected him with several key independent electronic labels, including Rephlex, Ninja Tune, Planet Mu and Warp. He has also worked as a songwriter and producer, maintaining a career rooted in studio experimentation and rhythm-focused electronic music.
