Lane 8

Daniel Norman Goldstein, known professionally as Lane 8, is an American musician, DJ, and electronic music producer. Based in Denver, Colorado, he has been associated with the English deep house label Anjunadeep. In early coverage of his work, BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong named Lane 8 a “Future Star,” and the publication Dancing Astronaut included him in its “25 Artists to Watch in 2015.”

Goldstein released his debut studio album, Rise, on July 17, 2015. Alongside his releases as Lane 8, he has also issued music under variations of his name, including Daniel Goldstein and Daniel Norman Goldstein. His work is commonly linked with melodic and progressive strains of house music, and he has also been described in terms such as “gauze pop.”

In more recent years, Lane 8 has released music through his own label, This Never Happened, reflecting a shift toward a self-directed platform for his output while continuing his connection to the broader deep house and melodic house ecosystem in which he first gained wider recognition.
