King Princess
King Princess broke through in 2018 with “1950,” a debut single that became a commercial success in multiple territories and was certified platinum by the RIAA. The song introduced the Brooklyn-born artist's direct, melodic approach to pop songwriting and appeared on her debut EP, Make My Bed, released later that year.
Born Mikaela Mullaney Straus on December 19, 1998, King Princess is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor. She was signed to Zelig Records, Mark Ronson’s Columbia Records imprint, during her early recording career. Her follow-up single, “Talia,” received gold certification in Australia from ARIA.
In 2019, King Princess released her debut studio album, Cheap Queen, which drew widespread critical acclaim. After leaving Zelig Records, she released the 2025 album Girl Violence through Section1. That same year, she made her acting debut in the television series Nine Perfect Strangers.
