Kid Francescoli
Kid Francescoli is the electropop project founded in Marseille in 2002 by French musician Mathieu Hocine. Its name pays tribute to Enzo Francescoli, the Uruguayan footballer who played for Olympique de Marseille.
Hocine began working with musician Julia Minkin in 2009, and the pair co-write songs for the project. Drummer Mathieu Chrétien performs with Kid Francescoli in live shows. Rooted in electronic pop, Kid Francescoli has developed through Hocine's songwriting collaborations and a concert setup that brings live drums into the project's performances.
