Khemmis
Khemmis are a Denver doom metal band named after the ancient Egyptian city now known as Akhmim. Formed in 2012, the group combines doom and traditional heavy metal with elements of death and black metal, pairing weighty riffs and slower tempos with a broader heavy-metal approach.
The band released its first two studio albums, Absolution and Hunted, through the independent label 20 Buck Spin. Its third album, Desolation, followed, along with the mini-LP Doomed Heavy Metal. Both releases were co-released with 20 Buck Spin and licensed to Nuclear Blast for territories outside North America.
In November 2021, Khemmis issued Deceiver, its worldwide Nuclear Blast debut. The band's lineup includes Phil Pendergast, Daniel Beiers, Ben Hutcherson, Zach Coleman, and David Small.
