
Kali Uchis
Karly-Marina Loaiza (born July 17, 1994), known by her stage name Kali Uchis, is a Colombian-American singer, songwriter, record producer, music video director, and fashion designer.
With a 50’s aesthetic influenced by artists like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, Kali’s art pop style covers a range of soul genres, including doo-wop, reggae, funk, quiet storm, and psychedelia, infused with a Latina flair.
Kali learned to play saxophone and piano during her upbringing. She discovered music production and video editing in high school and released her first project, Drunken Babble, in 2012. Following this, she released a 2015 EP, Por Vida, and her debut album, Isolation, in 2018.
