Jimpster
Jimpster is the stage name of British deep house producer and DJ Jamie Odell. He is known both for his own productions and for his work behind the scenes as a label founder and remixer, operating at the intersection of club-focused releases and broader dance-music collaborations.
Alongside Tom Roberts, Odell founded the record labels Freerange Records and Delusions of Grandeur. The two imprints have served as central outlets for his activities as an artist and curator, reflecting a long-running commitment to releasing deep house and related styles while maintaining an active schedule as a DJ and live performer.
As a producer, Jimpster has released music associated with deep house and minimal tech house, and he has also used a wide range of aliases, including Jim Peters, Jimster, Audiomontage, Flag, Hullabaloo, Loxodrome, Fluxion, China Boy, and Franc Spangler. His remix work forms another visible part of his output. Among the remixes credited to him is a remix of “400 years” by Bob Marley, illustrating the breadth of material he has reworked beyond strictly club-oriented originals.
