Jason Mraz

Jason Thomas Mraz, born June 23, 1977, is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist whose 2008 single “I’m Yours” spent a then-record 76 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. The Diamond-certified song came from his third studio album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things., a four-times-Platinum release that reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Raised in Mechanicsville, United States, Mraz rose to prominence with his 2002 debut, Waiting for My Rocket to Come. Its single “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)” reached No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. He followed it with Mr. A-Z in 2005, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, then expanded his commercial success with We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. The latter album also produced the Grammy Award-winning singles “Make It Mine” and “Lucky,” the latter recorded with Colbie Caillat.

Mraz’s later releases include Love Is a Four Letter Word (2012), which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured “I Won’t Give Up,” his second top-ten Hot 100 hit. He subsequently released the top-ten albums Yes! in 2014 and Know. in 2018. After signing a three-album agreement with BMG in 2020, he released Look for the Good that year and Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride in 2023.

Across his career, Mraz has received two Grammy Awards, two Teen Choice Awards, a People’s Choice Award, and the Hal David Songwriters Hall of Fame Award. By July 2014, he had sold more than seven million albums and 11.5 million digital singles. In 2023, he competed on season 32 of Dancing with the Stars, finishing second behind Xochitl Gomez.
