James Hype
James Hype is the professional name of Liverpool-born DJ and producer James Edward Lee Marsland. He first built recognition through remixes for artists including O.T. Genasis and Clean Bandit before breaking through with the 2017 single “More Than Friends,” released through Warner Music. The track reached No. 8 on the UK Top 40 and topped the UK Dance Singles Chart.
In 2022, he released “Ferrari” with Miggy Dela Rosa via Island Records and The Cross Records. It reached No. 6 on the UK Top 40 and No. 4 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. His work spans house, tech house and dance music, alongside DJ performances and production work.
