Gojira is a technical/progressive death metal band from Ondres, France.
The band consists of Joe Duplantier on vocals and rhythm guitar, his brother Mario Duplantier on drums, Christian Andreu on lead guitar, and Jean-Michel Labadie on bass. Labadie joined the band in 2001, succeeding Alex Cornillon, who later pursued a career in theatre acting.
Their lyrical themes often revolve around the environment, spirituality, life & death, and biophilia.
