Samuel Thomas Shepherd, known as Floating Points, is a British electronic producer, DJ and musician from Manchester. Born in 1986, he works across electronic music, house, jazz and ambient-informed sounds, and has also performed as the leader of the 16-piece Floating Points Ensemble.
Shepherd founded Pluto Records and co-founded Eglo Records. Alongside his work as Floating Points, he is also a neuroscientist.
