Feist

Feist's 2007 album The Reminder brought her broad critical and commercial success, with her work from that period contributing to sales of more than 2.5 million copies for Let It Die and The Reminder. The album earned four Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album, and helped make Leslie Feist one of Canada's most visible indie pop singer-songwriters.

Born February 13, 1976, in Amherst, Canada, Feist performs under her surname. She began her solo recording career with Monarch in 1999. Her second studio album, Let It Die, arrived in 2004, followed by The Reminder in 2007. Alongside her solo work, she has performed as a member of the Canadian indie rock group Broken Social Scene.

Feist released her fourth studio album, Metals, in 2011. At the 2012 Juno Awards, she received Artist of the Year, Adult Alternative Album of the Year for Metals, and Music DVD of the Year for the documentary Look at What the Light Did Now. She has received 11 Juno Awards in total, including two Artist of the Year honors.

Also in 2012, Feist collaborated with the metal band Mastodon on a split EP, accompanied by an interactive music video. Her later releases include Pleasure, issued in 2017. As of 2023, she had released six studio albums, balancing her solo catalogue with her continuing association with Broken Social Scene.
