Eve

Eve is the Japanese singer-songwriter and Vocaloid producer behind theme songs for anime including Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, My Hero Academia, and Dororo. Born on 23 May 1995, he entered music through Niconico, where he sang covers of popular songs before developing his own work as a songwriter, vocalist, and producer.

His early releases were made through his independently owned Harapeco Records, beginning with his debut album Wonder Word. In 2019, he signed with Toy's Factory, moving from the label he had worked through independently. He has also appeared as a guest on Tokyo FM's School of Lock!.

Eve's songs have become closely tied to anime projects across different genres. “Yamiyo” was used for Dororo, while “Kaikai Kitan” served as the theme song for Jujutsu Kaisen. “Ao no Waltz” was featured in Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, and “Fight Song” was used for Chainsaw Man. Later anime themes include “Bokurano” for My Hero Academia, “Teenage Blue” for Blue Box, “Kaze no Anthem” for Witch Hat Atelier, and “AIYOU” for The Apothecary Diaries.

Working across singer-songwriter material and Vocaloid production, Eve has drawn reported inspiration from pop culture, including films. His path from online cover performances to independently released work and major-label recordings has placed his voice and songwriting in both Japanese pop music and contemporary anime music.
