Duke Dumont
Duke Dumont is the stage name of Adam George Dyment, an English DJ and producer whose singles “Need U (100%),” “I Got U,” “Won’t Look Back” and “Ocean Drive” became major UK dance records. “Need U (100%)” and “I Got U” each reached number one on the UK singles chart, while “Won’t Look Back” peaked at number two. “Ocean Drive” reached number forty-two.
Born in Harrow, United Kingdom, on 27 August 1981, Dyment works across house and electronic music, with releases spanning deep house, tech house, progressive house and pop-facing dance music. Alongside his own recordings, he has remixed a number of songs, including several that charted in the United Kingdom.
Dyment founded Blasé Boys Club, a record label he has also used as a production alias. His work received Grammy recognition in consecutive years: “Need U (100%)” was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in 2014, and “I Got U” received a nomination in the same category the following year.
