Experimental PopFluxworkFourth World

Domenique Dumont began in 2013 as a collaboration between Latvian multi-instrumentalist and producer Artūrs Liepiņš, vocalist and ethnomusicologist Anete Stuce, and “an enigmatic artist from France whose existence can neither be confirmed nor denied”.

Dumont’s music avoids easy categorization, building from a foundation of buoyant sambas, bossa nova undertones and cinematic experimental pop, the Latvian duo’s project is a heartfelt modernization of breezy dreaminess in the style of its own.

Their debut album “Comme Ça” was released in the summer of 2015, and was followed up with their 2018 release “Miniatures de Auto Rhythm”, both under French label Antinote. In 2020 the group released “People On Sunday” after signing to The Leaf Label.
