Dixon

Steffen Berkhahn, known professionally as Dixon, is a German house and techno DJ and producer based in Berlin. He is the founder of the record label Innervisions, a platform closely associated with his work as a selector and curator as well as a producer.

Dixon is best known for DJ sets and productions that sit within house and techno, with genre tags commonly associated with his output including deep disco house, microhouse, and minimal techno. Alongside his music career, he has expanded into projects outside of recording and performance. He is the joint owner of the club-wear clothing brand Together We Dance Alone, reflecting a parallel interest in fashion connected to nightlife culture.

In 2019, Dixon launched Transmoderna, an Ibiza residency paired with a digital platform under the same name. The project links a physical club context with an online component, aligning with his broader involvement in technology-related initiatives mentioned in coverage of his work.

Dixon has also been recognized in industry-facing polls. He was voted the number one DJ in Resident Advisor’s Top 100 DJ Poll each year from 2013 through the poll’s last annual edition in 2016.
