Digitalism are a German electronic music duo formed in Hamburg in 2004 by Jens Moelle and İsmail Tüfekçi. Working in styles associated with alternative dance, dance-punk, electronica, indietronica, neo-synthpop, and new rave, the pair emerged during the mid-2000s wave of club-oriented indie crossover, pairing electronic production with the energy and pacing of rock and punk-adjacent dance music.

The group are signed to the French label Kitsuné, a key early home for their releases. In other territories, Digitalism have been associated with Virgin Records and Astralwerks, reflecting a release strategy that placed their work across different label networks depending on region. Their name is also written in Japanese as デジタリズム.

Digitalism’s core lineup has remained consistent since formation, with Moelle and Tüfekçi credited as the duo’s members. Their recorded output includes the studio albums Idealism (2007), I Love You, Dude (2011), and Mirage (2016), which document the group’s development from the blog-era electro and indie-dance circuit into a longer-running project with international distribution. Alongside Kitsuné, their catalog has also appeared via imprints and label entities including Universal Music’s Island Def Jam division, indicating participation in both independent and major-label release channels.
