Crystal Waters
Crystal Waters is a female house musician from the early 1990s who began her career with her debut studio album, 'Surprise', which featured her most popular hit, "Gypsy Woman". This song launched Crystal's career by reaching number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the UK Singles Chart. "Gypsy Woman" gained significant attention, leading to a parody by Kim Wayans on "In Living Color" and an appearance in an episode of "King of the Hill" (season two, episode six). It is also included in the 2007 Wii video game, Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party. On May 17th, 1994, Crystal released her second studio album, 'Storyteller', which won Vibe’s 1994 Music Poll for Best Club/Dance Album. This album featured the hit "100% Pure Love", which reached number eleven on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album also included underrated songs like "What I Need", "Ghetto Day", and others. On June 24th, 1997, Crystal released her third studio album, self-titled 'Crystal Waters'. This album included several covers of songs by artists like Prince and Dead or Alive, and featured Dennis Rodman. A year later, Crystal released "The Best of Crystal Waters" album, which compiled songs from her three studio albums (including "Gypsy Woman", "100% Pure Love", and "Makin' Happy"). Crystal later released two more compilation albums and has collaborated on various songs since then.
