Cherry Glazerr
Cherry Glazerr is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2013 by guitarist and lead vocalist Clementine Creevy. The group’s name was derived from NPR radio host Chery Glaser. Over time, Cherry Glazerr has operated with a changing cast of musicians, and its recorded output reflects a clear shift in approach and sound across successive releases.
The band first emerged with a lo-fi, garage rock style on its debut release Haxel Princess (2014). As Cherry Glazerr continued, its music moved toward a more polished rock presentation while drawing on grunge, punk, and new wave elements. That progression is associated with later releases including Apocalipstick and Stuffed & Ready, which are described as expanding the band’s palette beyond its earlier, rougher textures.
In its current lineup, Cherry Glazerr consists of Creevy on guitar and lead vocals, bassist Sami Perez, synth player Luke Macdonald, and drummer Nick Pillot. The band has also included other members at various points, including Devin O’Brien, Tabor Allen, Clem Creevy, Sophia Muller, Hannah Uribe, Sean Redman (2), and Sasami Ashworth.
Cherry Glazerr’s fourth studio album, I Don’t Want You Anymore, was released by Secretly Canadian on September 29, 2023. The release continued the band’s later-period emphasis on a more refined rock sound, building on the stylistic direction established after its early lo-fi beginnings.
