Charlotte Day Wilson
Charlotte Day Wilson is a Canadian contemporary R&B singer-songwriter who came to prominence in the mid-2010s with the single “Work.” Emerging from Canada’s alternative R&B and indie-soul sphere, she became closely associated with a wave of Toronto-based musicians whose scenes often overlapped across R&B, jazz, and independent pop.
Her profile grew further through collaborations with other Toronto artists, including BadBadNotGood and Daniel Caesar. Those appearances helped situate Wilson within a local network of musicians working across genre lines, and they introduced her voice and writing to audiences beyond her solo releases.
In July 2021, Wilson released her debut album, Alpha. The record marked a formal album-length statement after the earlier attention around “Work” and her collaborative work. She is also known under the names Charlotte Wilson, C. Day Wilson, and C. Wilson.
