Broods broke through with “Bridges,” a single that reached No. 8 on New Zealand’s singles chart and led to deals with Capitol and Polydor Records. The Nelson, New Zealand duo consists of siblings Georgia Josiena Nott, the lead vocalist, and Caleb Allan Joseph Nott, a multi-instrumentalist who handles production and backing vocals.

The pair issued their self-titled debut EP in January 2014, then released their first full-length album, Evergreen, that August. Their second album, Conscious, followed in June 2016, with Don’t Feed the Pop Monster arriving in February 2019. In February 2022, Broods released Space Island through a distribution deal with Island Records Australia.

Broods have taken their music on tour alongside Ellie Goulding, Haim, Sam Smith, Tove Lo and Taylor Swift. They have also won ten New Zealand Music Awards.
