Boys Noize

Alexander “Alex” Ridha, known as Boys Noize, co-wrote Lady Gaga’s Grammy-winning “Rain on Me” and earned a Grammy nomination in 2019 for “Midnight Hour,” his house collaboration with Skrillex featuring Ty Dolla Sign. Born on 22 August 1982, the German-Iraqi producer, songwriter and DJ is from Hamburg, Germany, and has been making music since 2004.

Ridha’s work moves between electro, techno, acid-driven club music and house, with a production career that also reaches into rap, pop and industrial-leaning collaborations. He has worked with A$AP Rocky, Tommy Cash, Frank Ocean and Nine Inch Nails, while his remix credits include Daft Punk, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Snoop Dogg and Depeche Mode. Other collaborators include HEALTH, Smokepurpp, Kreayshawn and UnoTheActivist.

In 2005, he established Boysnoize Records, a label that became a home for his releases. In 2025, he launched the concept label Ones and Zeros. Rolling Stone named Boys Noize one of its Top 10 “DJs that rule the Earth” in 2012.

Alongside his solo work, Ridha has pursued several collaborative projects. He and Skrillex formed Dog Blood, while Octave Minds pairs him with pianist and composer Chilly Gonzales. His releases and productions have also appeared under names including 909D1SCO, Einzeller, Morgentau, Elax and Eva.
