Ben Gomori
Ben Gomori is a London-based producer and DJ whose work sits in house and disco, and who has also used the alias G. Markus. Born in Cambridge to Hungarian parents, he began DJing in 1999. After several years of collaborative production work, he started releasing music as a solo producer in 2010.
Gomori is the founder of Monologues Records, a label associated with his own output and related projects. He has also founded the edit-focused imprints Sterns Edits and G-Edits, reflecting an interest in reworking and reshaping existing material for the dance floor. Alongside his label activity, his releases have appeared on a range of independent outlets including House of Disco Records, True Romance Records, Bastard Jazz Recordings, and Cacao Records.
Outside of recording and DJing, Gomori founded Pitchblack Playback, an event series built around immersive listening sessions. The concept centres on hearing albums and DJ sets on high-quality sound systems in complete darkness, placing attention on sound rather than spectacle and creating a focused environment for club and album listening alike.
