Baths

Will Wiesenfeld, who records as Baths, emerged from Los Angeles' electronic underground with music that moves between glitchy pop, ambient texture, lo-fi detail and off-kilter rhythmic production. Southern California Public Radio called him “LA’s big new electronica musician” in 2010, the year he released his first Baths album, Cerulean, through Anticon.

Born April 16, 1989, Wiesenfeld was born in Tarzana and raised in Woodland Hills, both Los Angeles neighborhoods. He began classical piano training at age four, a foundation that carries into Baths' melodic electronic work. Before Baths, he recorded as [Post-foetus], and he has also used the name Geotic for more ambient material.

Baths' recordings draw on electronic, indietronica, chillwave, glitch-hop and experimental music, often pairing processed vocals and intimate songwriting with dense digital arrangements. While Baths is primarily Wiesenfeld's project, creative partner and live-band member Morgan Greenwood has joined him on some recordings and performances.

After his time with Anticon, Wiesenfeld began releasing Baths music through his own label, Basement's Basement. He resides in Culver City, Los Angeles, California.
