Anjunabeats

Anjunabeats is an alias used by Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki for the first track they wrote together, titled “Anjunabeats - Vol. 1.” The name overlapped with the Anjunabeats label, and the pair chose not to continue releasing music under the same name as the imprint.

After that initial release, Grant and Siljamäki adopted the name Free State for the next two tracks they wrote together, “Different Ways” and “Release.” In addition to Anjunabeats and Free State, they have also been associated with the aliases Dirt Devils and Zed-X. Their work under these names is linked with progressive house, and appears in the orbit of labels including Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, and Group Therapy.
