Alter Bridge is a rock group hailing from Orlando, Florida, established in 2004. After Creed dissolved in 2004, former members Mark Tremonti (Guitar and backing vocals), Brian Marshall (Bass), and Scott Phillips (Drums) started collaborating with Myles Kennedy (Guitar and Vocal), who was previously with The Mayfield Four. The band's name is derived from a bridge that used to be located on Alter Road near Tremonti's childhood home in Detroit, Michigan.
