Alfa Mist
Alfa Mist is a British musician, producer, songwriter and MC whose work brings hip-hop and club music into conversation with jazz improvisation. Born Alfa Sekitoleko in 1991 or 1992, he is based in Newham, London, and has worked across keyboards, synthesizer, production and songwriting.
His first solo EP, Nocturne, arrived in 2015. Alfa Mist’s music moves between jazz-led instrumental passages and hip-hop-rooted rhythms, with improvisation central to the blend. In 2021, he released the album Bring Backs.
Alongside his own recordings, Alfa Mist runs Sekito, a music label. His work spans the overlapping worlds of jazz, hip-hop and club-informed production while retaining his role as both a composer and MC.
